The Vienna Airport is easily accessible from all over the world and it has great connections to the city centre with fast trains as well as regional trains.
TRAVEL INFORMATION: The fastest option to reach the city centre from the airport is by City Airport Train (CAT), but you may also use other rail connections or a bus. To reach the ECSS Vienna 2016 congress venue, Austria Centre Vienna (ACV), you can use the bus "Wien Donauzentrum (via VIC), which takes you directly to the congress venue in 30 minutes.
It's easy to travel by train to and from Vienna. You will find plenty of direct train connections to Vienna from almost all over Europe.
The public transportation is excellent in Vienna and it will secure your smooth travelling in the city and to the congress venue. The Congress Venue, Austria Centre Vienna (ACV), is easily accessible via public transportation. It is only 30 minutes from the Vienna airport by direct bus or metro and 7 minutes from the city centre. The nearest station is Keisermühlen-VIC, which you can access with line U1. With a car you have many different ways to choose when you are travelling to Vienna. The high ways in the mid-Europe are in very good conditions you'll have an easy journey to Vienna by car and bus on Austria's excellent network of motorways, expressways and federal highways.
As tolls are compulsory on all motorways and expressways in Austria, you will also need a "Vignette" (toll sticker) to use Vienna's city motorways. You can find detailed information on the toll charges here. The route planner will help you find the best way to Vienna.
