Science Slam is a communication format whereby young scientists have 10 minutes to explain their research projects in an understandable and entertaining way. This presentation format encourages young researchers to explain their research in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. It also encourages young scientists to engage the audience, as following the presentations, the audience will get to vote for their favourite Science Slam.
Live demonstrations with props and creative, visual presentations are encouraged to allow the audience to experience a fully interactive event, which is unlike the typical conference presentation.
