Thank you to those who have informed us of the likelihood that you will be attending ECSS Sevilla 2020. If you have not already done this, and you are a presenter for an Invited Session, Oral Presentation or Conventional Print Poster, please follow the instructions sent to you by email, or log into your ECSS account where you can provide a response under ‘myCongress’ / ‘Are you going to attend Sevilla?’.

All presenters (i.e. first authors) must be registered for the congress and registration fees must be paid in order to guarantee publication in the Book of Abstracts for the 25th Annual Congress of the European College of Sport Science – ECSS Sevilla 2020. Late registrations and payments will lead to exclusion in this publication and the scientific programme.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FOR PRESENTERS

Invited Sessions

Invited Sessions are presented by invited speakers in PowerPoint format (16:9). Invited Sessions are 20 minutes plus 10 minutes of questions and answers (Q&A). All PowerPoint presentations must be pre-uploaded in the Speakers Ready Room one day in advance of your presentation (e.g. Tuesday afternoon for presentations on Wednesday). The use of your own laptop or USB is not permitted. Abstracts need to be submitted according to the defined standards of the ECSS and within the given abstract submission deadline before 3 August 2020.

It is mandatory that all presenters (whether participating in person or virtually) submit a video (MP4) of your presentation of 20 minutes maximum, in which your work is presented. Your video will be accessible to all registered participants through their ECSS account (more information on how to access content with a Virtual Pass coming soon). Most Invited Sessions will be live streamed. Further information on live streaming for presenters will be available soon.

Unfortunately, virtual presentations will not be subject to Q&A, but may be discussed by the chair and audience.

Instructions for submitting your video will be available on this page soon. The deadline for uploading your video is 5 October 2020.

Oral Presentations

The format for Oral Presentations is PowerPoint (16:9). Oral Presentations are ten minutes plus five minutes of questions and answers (Q&A). Conventional Print Poster (debated)

The size of the Conventional Print Poster is A0 (height: 120 cm, width 90 cm). The poster format is ‘portrait’ (i.e. vertical). Poster presentation time will be three minutes plus two minutes of discussion. Poster presentations do not require any PowerPoint presentations. All posters will be set up on the poster boards in the morning by the authors themselves and will be removed in the evening.

It is mandatory that all presenters (whether participating in person or virtually) submit a video (MP4) of your presentation of three minutes maximum, in which your poster is presented. Your video will be accessible to all registered participants through their ECSS account (more information on how to access content with a Virtual Pass coming soon).

E-Poster (not debated)

E-Posters must be pre-uploaded in advance of the congress via your ECSS account (deadline 5 October 2020). The format requires a pre-upload of an E-Poster in PDF format (one slide only) in ‘landscape’ (horizontal) orientation (140 cm (55 in) width x 79 cm (31 in) height). Abstracts accepted in this format will be published in the Book of Abstracts of the ECSS Sevilla 2020 Congress. The E-Poster will also be made available online and on-screen at the congress. The E-Poster format can be accessed at any time during the congress, using widescreen TV's located in the general E-Poster area. There is, therefore, no formal presentation time, and no formalised discussion time. If a discussion is required, presenters will be contacted directly (by email) by interested parties.

The deadline for uploading your E-Poster is 5 October 2020.
